Reunited Desaparecidos Announce August Tour; Conor Oberst To Play Solo Shows This Summer

Desaparecidos, the Nebraska-based 5-piece fronted by Conor Oberst, have reunited. The band, who haven’t toured together since 2002, have announced shows in Minneapolis, Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco in addition to a previously announced performance at Omaha’s MAHA Music Festival.

Desaparecidos return as the original line up of Conor Oberst (vocals, guitar) Landon Hedges (bass guitar, vocals), Matt Baum (drums), Denver Dalley – (guitar) and Ian McElroy (keyboards). The band formed in 2001, released one album (2002’s critically lauded Read Music/Speak Spanish), and ceased playing together shortly thereafter.

Prior to the long awaited and much rumored summer dates, Oberst will play several solo shows throughout the northeast.

Additionally, Saddle Creek’s reissues of Fevers & Mirrors and There Is No Beginning To The Story are in stores today. Pick up your copy at the Saddle Creek webstore.
